What music program will allow me to play an instrumental while recording my vocals on a separate track? If you can give me some suggestions as to what music software to buy that'd be great. Thank you.

Unless you have access to a recording studio its difficult. First try and get hold of a omni-dircectional mic (where it picks up sound from only one area). Then get the instrument and a second mic for that.

Then record then to a sound card/hub to the computer, the edit it in you're software program.

Good luck, it's kinda difficult to explain but you need 2 mics or so for the amount of instruments
