Question by polakio92: what is a good nonfiction book for a junior in high schooler to read for US history 2 AP?

it is a requirement here over the summer to choose a nonfiction book to read, having to do with like history, social issues, or anythin like that. i would prefer something modern, possibly about politics or diplomacy or something. somethin that isn't too complicated and can be enjoyable.

A People's History of the United States, by Howard Zinn. It's perfect for APUSH! I read it, and its something that really sticks with you. He's also a good outside source to use in your exam essays!

It's long, but it's broken up into smaller essays about different parts in history. It's amazing, trust me
