Why my torrent downloads with BitComet take such a long time to start downloading?

Why my torrent downloads with BitComet take such a long time to start downloading?

Because it has to search the torrent to find seeds and peers. If the tracker is down, or the torrent is poisoned it takes longer to find them. If there aren't many seeds the downloads will always be slower.
